Recycling in something we all need to be interested in, not just for our near future but for our distant future. This planet we live on will only last for a certain length of time and its up to all of us to help prolong it.
So in order to do our bit for the environment the 1st Lampeter Lions Cub Pack has decided to combine a number of events. We are all doing our Environmental Awareness Badge, we are going to do this Recycling activity from now until the end of 2007, the centenary year of Scouting and we are also hoping that it will raise money for the Cub pack in order to buy much needed camping equipment.
What you can do to help us is to donate all your empty printer cartridges and old mobile phones. By doing this we can then get a donation for each item which will then be recycled. All items are recycled, cartridges are sold back to printer manufacturers and reused. Mobile phones are sold back to manufacturers also so that they can be reconditioned and resold. Thereby saving on the environmental costs of making new ones.
If you live in the Lampeter area, mobile phones and cartridges can be dropped off at the Cub Hut on a Monday between 7-9pm and Tuesday evening between 6-8pm. If you do live locally and you can't get to the hut at those times or you have a large number of items, please contact me via email below or the phone number at the top.
If you don't live locally, but you would still like to help us, please contact me and I can tell you how to help us. We would also apprieciate any businesses that could help us out.
So please, we can all help to save the environment by working together, and at the same time we can raise some funds for the 1st Lampeter Lions Cub Pack.
